It’s time to get your skates sharp! I’ve added links to a couple of videos by Diana Hanks on how to sharpen Nordic skates.
I’ve added a couple of interesting papers on ice feature formation, sent to me by Richard Behr, a skater and fishing guide in Maine. One is on the formation of what the authors call lake stars, but which I always think of as ice octopi, thanks to Bob Dill. The other is on the formation of Zen stones (pictured here).
I’ve also updated and reorganized the Nordic skating groups list.
